We have food and beverage banquet and cocktail menus available for small to large events making us the top choice for birthday party venues in Lake Macquarie. We can cater for sit down luncheons, relaxed cocktail events, corporate business conferences and intimate get-togethers for weddings, wakes and everything in between.
We are a fully licensed venue, no BYO allowed. We have an extensive wine, beer and cocktail menu and can arrange for specific drinks upon guests requests.
The Gunyah Hotel boasts state of the art audio, visual, production and lighting, making it ideal for live music, entertainment events, product launches, weddings and cocktail parties. We are a fully licensed venue until 12am.

The function room
Explore the versatility of the Function Room, our largest private space. The room can be modeled of your vision and transformed into a unique function space that specifically caters to your every need.
The Function Room allows your and your guests to be treated to breathtaking 180-degree views over Lake Macquarie. Facilities include a private outdoor balcony and bar, unobstructed water views with retractable windows spanning the length of the function room, a dance floor and a state of the art sound system.

The Dining Room
Hire out the full or partial restaurant and enjoy the space that the Dining Room has to offer, including the expansive deck sitting right on the waterfront of Lake Macquarie. We have a large car park within the Hotels premises. Space can be reserved for immediate wedding party and guests staying in hotel accommodation.
Both the Rooftop and The Dining Room have beautifully appointed bathrooms, male, female and disabled.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
A deposit is payable to reserve your function space. Deposits are refunded on day of function as credit towards your food and beverage.
MINIMUM SPEND REQUIREMENT
A minimum spend will be based on when your function is being held. This will be confirmed by our functions team.
Full payment required at least 7 days prior to function. Cancellations within 14 days will result in loss of deposit.
A security guard will be arranged for any function of 80 persons or more. This cost will be passed onto the function holder.
Courtesy buses are provided to all patrons Thurs-Sat 5:30pm-Late (Local 5km radius). Pre bookings are essential.
